Hedgehogs!

awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

man these guys are prickly! haha. Even though i have only had them a little while, they are starting to get to know me and aren't throwing up their quills as much. Can't wait to play with them tomorrow!

its so odd to see them as pets

haha, I could see why you would say that given that European hedgehogs are a wild animal. But in the USA, there are no native hedgehog. Also, its important to note that the pet hedgehogs are African Pygmy Hedgehogs, much smaller than their European brothers.

I'm not surprised that they are kept as pets. Being an avid reader of books, I always spend time in bookstores reading through all the books I can see.:grinyes:

They're sweet! It might interest this group to also know that in some Indonesian countries, they keep cats at the local zoos! Yes... standard house cats like we are used to for pets here in the US and UK.
It's big, but it's still a very small world!

haha, very interesting.

Anyways, In the next few weeks, I will be building a new enclosure for these guys. The one that they came with is a little too small. I'm going to custom make is from those mesh storage cubes that you can buy at places like walmart and target, and the bottom will be coroplast (type of plastic). Heres an example:

those hedgehogs are awesome as well as that new enclosure.
i've wanted a pet squirrel but i dont think that's legal since they're wild animals.
