Hey, you're not 'poor' you're 'broke' ("ain't got no money"). It's a LOT different. 14 and broke is normal :)

It will help if you add WHERE you are...there are folks across the US and all over the world on here!
Perhaps someone down the road from you will help.

If you're in the Cleveland area; I have no gups, but would gladly donate Endler's...
hmm...
Can you mow lawns or wash cars for $$ ?...you don't have to be 16 for that...

just gotta be creative...be the BEST lawnmowing guy...etc...

maybe find something you're really good at...gardening, cleaning out basements, help folks manage garage sales? create your own business.

How about servicing fish tanks? may as well do something you like!

Sometimes you have to look hard to find the work, and maybe it's even something you LIKE to do !

Best of luck to ya! let us know how ya do!

...and yes, when I was 14, it was not possible to find a 'traditional' job. No one would hire under 16, even part time. Lawnmowing or paper routes was about it. I'm liking the "servicing fish tanks" idea...

Lemme know when you are set up, I'll send a few plants.

if you are secure enough in your masculinity you should try getting an occasional babysitting gig.

I use to watch my neighbor's kids, 6 - 10 years old, on occasion when I was in my teens. It was easy money. You'll be basically getting paid to play with them. Then, it will be their bed time and you'll be getting paid to sit around and watch TV or these days play video games. Talk about easy money!

What you need man? Air pumps, filters, heaters what? I got a bunch of extra stuff-not the most expensive but beggars can't be choosers-and you are welcome to it if you pay shipping. Sure, try to get a job but man my advice is you are only 14, ENJOY BEING A KID!!!!!

Thanks guys I will try to find a source of income and I promise I will properly cycle all the stuff. I guess moderators that u can close this thread.

A couple of creative kids in my town made up flyers of chores they could do, knocked on doors to introduce themselves and passed them around the neighborhood. It was a detailed list with their suggested prices for the work, things like washing cars, weeding, mowing grass, raking leaves, household cleaning, etc. Basically all the chores you do at home for free lol.

Give it a try and give a senior citizen discount - a lot of older folks could use some good help around the house with all sorts of odd jobs. Once word gets around about what a reliable and hard worker you are, you'll be in high demand!

Definately try yard sales or the classified ads in your local paper for cheap tanks and supplies.

Good luck!
