True enough that the rates are a bit outdated, but the concept is still the same and if you choose to, you can re-compute it with today's numbers. I just wish I had known this back 30 years ago - I would be so stinkin rich today it wouldn't be funny!
Anyway, for ANYONE who's under about 50 years old, we ALL need to plan and start saving for our retirement (as strange as that may sound when you're young). Because it would be a miracle if Social Security even lasts another 10-15 years, much less long enough for you to get anything out of it by the time you need it. Plus we're living longer now, but it's costing out the wazoo to "support" our old age. Just think ahead all the time and your future will be so much easier than all your friends and family.

I sometimes wonder if our economy will last until I reach 40 much less until I retire. Right now I am saving for my next tank
invest in gold and other limited resources cash = trash. The dollar value decreases all the time its so worthless now. move to europe for the win! America's emanate plunge downhill has already begun.
