Help!!! Bubble Eye Goldfish Convulsions!!!

probably not. I only use salt for treating stuff like ICH, and then only with raised water temps, which mr bubble eye won't like.

I would say if you go by what roan and jodimartin2003 suggested and let him have plenty of R&R in his house he will recover :)

glad to hear he's eating and getting around now :) sorry to hear about the filter thing. if he was a little weak from his ordeal I could see where he might get pulled in by the filter. once he's 100% he shouldn't have that problem.

water #s look pretty good, but it's still weird to see that ammonia in there. it doens't look like it's there in any kind of serious amount, but you want to keep an eye on that even once mr bubble eye is doing well as you don't want a build up of ammonia in there :)

great job helping him back to good health!

We kept Mr Bubble Eye in his house last night.......The blood in his bubble has cleared up some. He looks like he has a black eye and the surrounding area is red still. The bubble menbrain appears to be swollen slightly and cloudy but looks better than yesterday.

I am happy to say that he is still eating and has produced his first poop in 3 weeks.

Thank you for taking the time......Smoses

I WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY WHO RESPONED TO THIS THREAD. YOU HAVE SAVED MY FISH AND YOU HAVE SAVED THE HOBBY FOR MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF. YOU HAVE GIVEN US A NEW APPRECIATION FOR OUR FISH. WE HAVE BEEN SEEING AMAZING DIFFERENCES IN THE COLOR AND ACTIVITIES OF OUR FISH. I AM TRULY HAPPY I FOUND THIS SITE.
THANK YOU!!

THE BUBBLE IS POPPED
Today My bubble Eyes bubble looks like it is going to fall off. Is this normal on an injury such as this??? Should I take it off the rest of the way or is it going to fall off on its own? Yesterday I thought the bubble wasnt broken, but today the swelling is down a little and it is clearly coming off. What should I be doing for it?

Sounds like Mr. Bubble Eye is having a run of bad luck. Maybe you should just get down on your knees and pray for this fish cause something is out to get him.

I am every day. He needs all the prayer he can get.

He is recovering from the water poisoning......now to heal his bubble!!!

wow good question. personally I'd leave it alone and hope it heals. I know there are treatments you can use (melafix for one) to help heal fin tears and stuff, but I'm not sure those would help in a situation like this.

that really sucks for mr bubble eye. here's hoping he gets well soon!
