Help!!! Bubble Eye Goldfish Convulsions!!!

Today Mr Bubble Eye's Tail is spread out and slightly raised :) , (tail has been clamped down HARD for 2 weeks now) and the convulsions seem to be decreasing but he still isnt eating. I let him out of his little house to see how he would do and I feel he isnt strong enough yet. He will try with all his mite to swim to the top but dosent make it and falls to the bottom. I scooped him back up and put him back into his house. I think I would like to see him eat first.

I will be doing another 25% water change today and posting the results.

Hi...
Another 25% water change done and I have new water readings.

NitrAte 50 I would say less than yesterday but still not at 40
Ammonia .10-.15
PH 7.6
NitrIte 0

Mr Bubble Eye is doing well.....I have watched him all day and his convulsions have decreased by about 80%. He has acutaly floated, (swam), in his house instead of laying on the bottom looking miserable.
His tail has been up allot more today also. He is still not eating.

I have been using Prime. How fast should this product work?

My Marble Angel now swims around in and out of the bubbles and isnt "hanging" out at the top. This fish was showing all kinds of signs of distress and we just wernt seeing it. She couldnt breathe and was swimming in poision. I feel like an jerk.

My other bubble eye is HAPPY!!! She used to sit on the bottom of the tank as if she was bored...Now she seems to be playing constantly!! She LOVES the bubbles and the river!!! (The river is a new toy we picked up for more airation and OTS)

sounds like a lot of improvements! :)

not too familiar with prime, maybe someone else can help there.

Seems like if you keep up the water changes until you get down to or below 25ppm nitrates you should be doing fine :)

I'm glad to see you listened to the advice that was given to you and you have taken steps to improve the quality of life for you fishies! I hope you will continue on this path! Good luck with you little guys!

Another 25% water change done with new water readings:

PH 7.6
Ammonia .10- .15
NitrAte 40
NitrIte 0

Today Mr Bubble Eye's tail is up allot and when it is down it is spread out. He is still experiencing minor convulsions and he STILL WONT EAT. I tried to let him out today because it looks like he wants to go play but he appears to be weak still and just kinda bumps and bounces around. I think he wants to play in the bubbles but cannot controll himself yet. So for his own saftey I put him back in his house.

I see allot of small bubbles floating around....Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH BUBBLES???

I don't think the bubbles are a problem.

I am wondering about the ammonia readings though. What type of filter are you using on the tank ?
Oh and does your tap water contain chloramine ?

I let out Mr Bubble Eye.......Mrs Bubble Eye is SOOOO happy to see him....But I am still worried about him. He seems still in distress. He still wont eat. How long can they go without eating???I dont like how he just lays on the bottom when he is out of his house. He seems like he is trying to GULP??? Is is possible he still has a rock loddged inside somewhere??? when I look inside his mouth I dont see anything.........
