HELP: Changing my Clown Loaches and others diet

Ok i got 4 clownloaches biggest one is 3inches smallest is 1 1/2, i heard that they eat Algae waffers and Shrimp pellets and, flake food. so i went to my local petsmart and got HAikari Algae Waffers and Top Fin shrimp pellets.

When i put them in they ignore them, They dont even touch my flake food, but the only thing i got to feed them that they will eat is cuecumber slices and freezed dryed bloodworms.

I want them to learn how to eat the pellets and wafers but what should i do to get them used to eating it?

Plus my pl*co dosnt even touch the Alge wafers...help on that too :idea:

And my Angel fish wont eat flake food eather...but will eat blood worms out of my hand or along with the other clowns.

How long have you had them? sometimes they just need to adjust

I have a gold fish that eats shrimp pellets something i have never seen before if they are hungry enough they'll try it

when feeding them do you combine the food the flakes and waffers or just flakes in the morning and waffers at night and lets say shrimp pellets in the afternoon?

I feed my tetras first, micro pellets.
Then i feed my gouramis, tropical flakes.
Then i put in blood worms for the angel and clowns.

I do that in the moring and afternoon and right before i go to sleep, Somtimes i put in a waffer at night, then they sit there and dissolve and get seprated into lil thick fluffy chunks then gets eaten by my clowns. But i dont do that anymore cause they make my gravel dirty alot.

actually it might sounds like the clownloaches might be filling up on everything else so they ignore the shrimp and algea food

when i had a variety of different sized fish for my freshwater tank i would just feed them a high quality flake food but i would kind of break the flakes into smaller peices but not into dust and then feed the algea waffers and or shrimp pellets at night before bed

clownloaches are scavengers and will eat anything, plecos if you have any like the algea waffers and shrimp pellets

if you ever want to try it but gouramies also like dried krill i believe

I tryed to feed bloodworms with flake food to see if im able to trick the loaches and they eat it, but spit the flake food right out and my angels dont even go after the flakes. Weird...

How often do you gravel vac? If your gravel looks visibly dirty or littered with uneaten food you may not be doing it enough. If you have bottom dwellers it really important to keep the gravel clean

Do not feed for a couple of days. Then feed only the waffers or pellets. When they are hungry they are less picky. Once you get them started they will eat.
