Help !!!fish burnt by water heater!

:help2:my aunt's silver dollar got burnt by the water heater, is there anything to treat the wound. He's swimming, he looks fine but he has a burnt mark from the top to about the middle of his body. If you know of anything that will heal him, please help. I would really appreciate your help.

I had this wound treatment product recommended to me before. Problem is, I couldn't find it in the stores.
Pristine water conditions to avoid infection to the wound will help.

LOL Lucky the fish didn't die. When i first got into the fish scene witht he typical jardini and common pleco setup. My pleco shoved his body between the glass and heater and was fried when i came home.

clean water is the best bet. You might consider getting a heater guard as well

Although possible, I personally never encountered any fish burned by Heater.

Stress Coat may help soothe any pain the fish may feel. It contains aloe vera.

Thank you for replying everyone, I'll make sure I get a heater guard for my own fish tanks, and I'll let my aunt know. And I'll also let her know about putting some stress coat in her tank. And I'll post pictures of the fish as soon as I can. Thank you

Thank You everyone for the advice, my aunt's fish is much better. I was going to take a picture but you can't even see the burn mark on him, he's healed quick. The Stress Coat Really helped. Thank You:y220e:

are you sure it is from the heater and not ammonia burns?

Treat the tank with some type of anti-bacterial to prevent infection, or use Jungle labs anti-bacterial food, most fish dont eat that so a water treatment would be better, then use API stress coat, it has aloe vera in it, that will help with pain and irratation, and should offer some protection since his slim coat is likely burnt off as well.
