Help me pick inhabitants for my new 28 gallon tank!

Alright, I think I finally decided on my population. After many sleepless nights (haha) I think the following would go well together in my 29 gallon:

1 Dwarf Guorami
6 Harlequin Rasbora
6 Glowlight Tetra
6 Pygmy Corys (my normal pet store doesn't have these, going to have to search around. If they don't, I'm going to have to find another small cory so as not to overload the tank)
you might want to ave a big shool of either the tetras or the rasboras, which will look better and be happier in a bigger school , but its your preferance. other than that, you stocking plan sounds good.

Ditto. One big shoal would look better.

hm. I see what you are saying. I just want a diverse colorful tank rather than just one main species. But I'd rather my fish be happy an healthy! Any good breeds that might be neat as individuals or only a pair in addition to a larger school of rasboras? What I meas is that perhaps I can go with one big school of rasboras, the dwarf guorami, cory's, and a few other individual fish (like the guarami). Any ideas?

I would still stand by my first suggestion in this thread at the beginning
OR
You could do maybe a school of say 6-8 harlequin rasbora, 4cory and a pair of rams but your water has to be really good for the rams so start out with the harlequin rasbora, 4 same specie (sp) cory and after a couple of months when all is well get yourself a nice pair or rams, I don't think the Dwarf Gourami and Rams would have room after that but if your thinking of upgrading maybe, it would also depend on your DG personality.

Also the neons need nice stable water a tank of at least 2 months before you add them if you go with the first suggestion earlier in the thread. :)

I like your suggestion a lot only I have heard a lot of people saying they have bad luck with the neons, and as a beginner, I think something more hardy would be better. Maybe I'll sub in a different species.

I would stick with fish that occur either with eachother or near eachothers inigineous zones in nature. They will all speak the same language - if you will. An angel with some platys, mollys, and guppys something like that. Or some cherry barbs, zebra danios, and a gourami. Use snails as the poopeaters.
