HELP!!! My Pennywort is dieing!!!! It may already have died...

Ok So I have some pennywort in my 100gal discus tank. Pennywort is a cool water plant I understand but before i got the discus my temp was at 76* and it was thriving! Because discus prefer warmer waters I had my temp at 84*, I have since moved it down to 82*. I just checked on it today and theres nothing left! I had over 20 stems of pennywort some over 20"+ high and it was GEORGOUS! Right now theres nothing left, just a stump.... In less than 3 hours it went from beautiful to DEAD :(. My lighting is a 4-bulb t5ho, I only use 2 bulbs because I have no co2. I dose every product in the flourish line, excel, comprehensive, trace, potassium, phosphates,etc except for nitrogen.
EDIT: the pennywort was flowering before BTW, It has since stopped...
 
Higher temps will slow down growth. It may be possible that the heat put it into shock, but it seems more likely to me that it was the combination of that and something else... not enough nutrients or light... how many hours a day do you run the lights and are they on a timer? It should go on and off at the same time every day.

Well... I haven't dosed fertz in 2 weeks actually because somebody told me I'm dosing WAY to much on another forums. Yes there on a timer. I run them 12 hours and the tank has 2.6wpg of t5ho but half is actinic blue so I guess only 1.3wpg. The other half is 12,000k white light.

I used to dose 15ml excel 3x weekly. That was a month ago though. Then it was 5mn every day. That was 2 weeks ago though.

I haven't been dosing fertz for 2 weeks could this be my problem?
