Well I got up for work this morning and and found on of my female briggs snails on my concrete basement floor in front of the tank.. I assume she was looking for a place to lay eggs (which bothers me cuz the water level is down about 2") anyway, a portion of her shell broke off (leading me to believe she fell from the top of the tank probably 4'), it's about the size of half a finger nail and about that wide, it's right above her face. well I picked her up right away and dropped her back in the tank. She hasn't came back out of the shell.. well not fully anyway, I can see her face and her trap is open at about a 45* angle and I can see her "vent" opening and closing so I know she's alive.. but could she still be in shock? or should I think that she is just in misery and freeze her?? I want what's best for her =(
any help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated
