Hi

I'm about to stock my tank.
It is rectangular with measurements 30cm long x 20cm wide and 20 cm high
roughly...

I was wondering whether I could keep Bumblebee Goby and Neon Tetras?

Can Bumblebee Goby be kept in Freshwater?

and also

The water conditions...Which will be right for both to do fine in?

OR

If this is a bad choice... (If it is could you please suggest some fish which go well with neon tetras?

Thanks in advanced

Jeff

I don't think its a good idea because the goby relies on brackish conditions when it gets larger, he wouldn't last long in FW. As for other compatible fish with neons, you have a few choices depending on the tank size. How big is the tank?

edit: How big as in how many gallons?

BBG's are a brackfish putting them in fresh is condeming the poor little guys to an early grave :sad

The tank is 3 maybey 3.5 gallons So your not looking at much stocking room. Id suggest an otto though they stay small and youll have a cleaner.

Thanks

Ok thanks for the advice

The pet shop which i got to said that you could keep the bumble bee goby with the neons....Do they give bad advice just to make a quick buck?

Thankyou for that useful info

Fish List

So bumble bee goby are out!

I really like neon tetras..

So which fish can be kept with them...(Ones which have the same conditions etc)

Also i want colourful and small fish..

Any suggestions

Thanks
Jeff

Theres many varieties of other tetras, way too many to name. But if you went to the LFS and looked around at them and saw some you liked, you could write down the name and either research it on here or on other sites. Also guppies can be very colourful, so you could look into those as well.
