With the shape of the tank it doesn't really give you to many options for fish. You could stock it with some small species like people have already suggested, Or you could go another way and set up a paludarium. I would do a paludarium if it was my tank, just because it's something different and would suit a hex tank well. Here is a pic of a paludarium if you dont know what they are.
