help with black peranha new tank

by that first link, Mike (Xenon) means 29g they can grow out in for a few years, then 125g+ is recommended...I agree with the most part for that...although a 90g can be used for a minimum, the bigger the better

and that second link you posted is just straight bad info...they get huge, trust me...much much bigger than 11", they can practically grow double that size...

i might of typed it wrong but 35$ for fish plus shipping that was 42$

do you think an undergravel filter is enough for my fish

doing daily water changes how long until bacteria can kill ammoinia normal conditionning is 4 to 8 weeks what is doing it this way?

i have read that your fish will eat in frunt of you if he is hungry

Yep! I think starting them in a 29 gallon is fine, but what about a 4" in a 15 gallon? Isn't that pushing things a lot? I mean, the water would be filthy every time it eats and every time feeders are added to the water, the parameters are going to go out of wack. When fish are scared, they urinate and with a paranha in there, there's gonna be a lot of peeing going on. Add on top of that the tank isn't even cycled. There are a *lot* of variables to deal with here, and spread over 15 gallons isn't giving much of a leeway for error.

It's not easy keeping a small tank stable, as you know, and this tank has never been stablized.

That's also what I read as well. Closer to 20" seems to be the norm. Wonder where they got their info.
