dont have one of those filters so im just guessing what your trying to do. first soak the hose in really hot water, you might have to heat it up on the stove, hot but not boiling. then stick the end of the hose into the water till it softens.

I put a little water on the end and that helped a little. But, if you think that part is hard wait till you try and get the hose clamps tight. No figgin' way I could get them tight enough with my fingers so I used a big pair of pliers and was mighty carefull. Then more fun was to be had when getting them off to clean the hoses. But I would still reccomend the Xp3.

Lol, it can be a nightmare trying to get the hoses all the way on. Even with my jacked arms and diesel body;) I had a bit of trouble. As stated, I would soak the ends in very hot water to soften and slightly expand the hose. Those clamps are garbage, the ones they give. I had to also get pliers to tighten them. When I changed hoses because of the dirt buildup after a few months, I went to home depot and bought some tubing that was 1" outside, 3/4" inside diameter. I also got four of these clamps and used them.

They are terrific. So easy to use and don't hurt your fingers like those black pieces of crap Rena gives you.

Um yeah like you said...my big guns were getting in the way so I couldn't tighten them all the way..yeah thats it..

I'm waiting till I break one to replace them all with proper hose clamps. I don't see the reason Rena supplied those cheap little clamps on an otherwise great machine.

Thanks all!!:)
NJ Devils Fan, you had pretty much the same idea that I had today. I was very determined to get those hoses on today. I went and got those clamps today and used Stress Coat on the ends of the hoses to get them on as much as I could and clamp them! I will get your size hoses when I have to replace them!!! They should be much easier to use.

When I got home tonight I noticed that the spray bar is whistling a little. However, I will open the holes on the spray bar like I have read on another post somewhere.

The canister itself is making some noise. Maybe it will clear up when I fix the spray bar.

Thanks for the info......keep it coming!!!

Wow. I feel like The Hulk now! I didn't even heat the hose ends up to get mine on any time I've taken them off!?
I haven't had trouble with the clamps either. Yes you need a pair of pliers to squeeze them on. To take them off, simply push one end down and the other up (perpendicular of how they go together) using the pliers you used to get them on with.
The hose clamps NJ uses are too likely to be over tightened (for me!) so I like the plastic ones. Just preference.
Oh, btw, if you're going to take hose advice from NJ, a word of advice, KEEP 'EM CLEAN!!!

I can see it now "The NJ Hose Club"!!!:D ;)
