No, it is regular 1/4 paintable Pine Plywood that I sanded down and stained. I should have went with Oak, but I was trying to budget the best I could. The place I get my supplies at is Menards. They are usually pretty cheap about their costs. But you only find them in the Midwest. I'm not sure what the cost would be at Home Depot.

It's very nice.
It looks stronger than what you generally buy at the stores as well.
I used stud 2x4's for the frame, and a 1x4 for the front face frame. A pocket jig template helped me fasten everything together. And really all I did was wrap the whole thing in plywood, put moulding on the edges to clean it up and wham bam it is done. Given there is a little more to it than that, I just don't have any pictures to give a good representation on the inner workings. the doors were made my a friend of mine who is a really good carpenter.
Also, all together it probably costs around 120 bucks for the hardware wood ect. That is excluding all the tools needed to build it. And because I used stud 2x4's for the frame it isn't the most level thing on the Earth. I will use some 1/2" foam on the top to level the Aquarium out.
