I hear "So, you just wanna look? No touch? Just look?" and then I can hear the guy go "Ummm....(long pause).....yah." So they let him in!!! They shut the cockpit door and the only flight attendant there was went in too. You could see everyone on the plane's eyes just sort of open wide.

Next thing you know, the plane is pretty much nosediving, and bouncing back and forth. It was really quite bad. Everyone started to gasp like "OMG what's happening up there". The guy still hadn't come out. We're all thinking horrible thoughts. My heart almost exploded. Chris was two seconds away from going up and looking what was happening.

Then it smoothed out. The guy didnt' come out until we landed (at the proper airport;)). Turns out it was just severe turbulence. But being an American, it freaked me the heck out!

Now that it's over and everything's ok...don't you just wonder what was going on in that cabin?? Hear any zippers?

I'm suprised you haven't made one of these wonderful pics into a new avatar!

"Hear any zippers?" Hahahahahahah, good one Nursie!

That is bizarre, and yeah, I would have been terrified too, especially once the plane started taking a nosedive. I'm awfully curious to know what on earth (or above the earth as the case may be) was going on and what he had in the metal briefcase. Guess we'll never know, and that might be better anyway.

That brought back some memories. ;) Sounds like you had a great time, thanks for sharing the pics. :D

Thank you for the great pics and the overview of the island. My hubby and I are looking for a place to go that is beautiful and tropical.

Do you mind me asking Was the hotel expensive? I am just wondering how it compares to Mexico...

Your welcome must4ng. I can't think of a better place to go for beauty and tropics:D

Well, we stayed at two hotels. I assume you mean the one on Moorea. And yes, sadly, it was rather expensive. For the overwater bungalow we stayed in, it was about 600$ a night :thud: . You could do it for a lot cheaper, if you wanted to, by staying in "Pension hotels" (think like B&B style without the breakfast:D) or I even saw two camping sites. Camping on Moorea would be enjoyable because of the climate and whatnot. Or, instead of getting an overwater bungalow, most places offer beach bungalows, garden bungalows, or even hotel-style rooms in a main building. It was 150$/night less at the hotel on Bora Bora, but that was weird because Bora bora is almost always more expensive on everything. Plus, I dont know if I'd stay at that hotel again.

You can kind of see the price difference if you go here, to our hotel's website. There's a link for a PDF rates filey thing. Bear in mind they list the exchange rate at 100, and it's really 95 or so.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions:)

your pictures are really amazing. I swam with the stingrays in the Cayman Is. and it was so awesome.
