How dangerous are pond snails?

Yeah you can also put the zuchini in a some pint sized Coke bottle that is cleaned and had the label removed, snails go in and you pull the whole bottle out. Might not be good if you have small fish though.

I think the big misunderstanding here is the use of the common name "pond snail" which are probably actually a wide range of species that have different dietary habits.

That's a pond snail and I squish them. Yup, I'm a pond snail killer.

I squish about 20 a week and my clown loach takes care or the smaller ones. I had two loaches but one of them vanished (I have a heavily planted tank so a dead fish can go unnoticed). I dont think the snails are hurting anything in my tank but I dont like them. Don't use had-a-snail I used it once and it whipped out my tank killed most of my plants and several fish and all of the snails lived this stuff works great. Good lick with your snails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
