I just bought one of those Hardy Water Lily pots from Petsmart, and I was wondering if it was like an anubias plant, leave it half buried or bury it all. The rhizome is about 3 inches long and 1 inch thick. It is pointed at one end and it looks as if it was cut straight at the other end. I took it out from the coco fiber pot and it is currently half buried with the pointed end sticking out about 1 inch from the sand. I know that the water has to be at least a foot deep for it to grow good, so it is in an area that the water above the rhizome is about 16 inches deep.
Is this OK for a Hardy Water Lily rhizome?
