, im going to get a 13 gallon tank and heavily plant it and trying easylife's easycarbon instead of co2 injection

im going to get some blue top sword endlers from a breeder and i was thinking 3 males 6 females

how many do you think i should let them breed to before i take a load to my lfs, it will probly be an endler tank only so how many fish in the tank at anyone time
my lfs are going to buy the fry but im not doing it for money, its because i like the endlers and fancey something different this time to black bar's

I'm having difficulty understanding your question.

I've never heard of a lfs buying fry. Usually you would raise them to about 3-4 months of age and then they would buy them from you. This case, you'd need a much larger tank setup than 13 gal. The 13gal. will not be adequate for let's say 30 3-month old fry. It would, however, be acceptable for the 3:6 ratio you have, though many may disagree with it (issue of males harassing females). You've not really provided enough information regarding where the 3:6 are going. You cannot have both them & the fry in the same tank.

But to answer your question anyway, for a 13gal, I wouldn't hold more than 20 of them at a time as long as you are keeping up with bi-weekly water changes.

hi, my lfs have agreed that they will take my fish as soon as they start to colour, which is about a month

and i agree nolapete, i already have like 6 tanks and my room has turned from bedroom to fish room with a bed lol, but i was hopeing to only have these endlers in one tank, since the others have blackbars and proper breed guppies lol

The fastest way that I know to move lots of endlers through a tank is to colony breed them and keep removing all of the adult sized ones when the population starts to look high. Endlers will not eat many fry if they are well fed but the population explosion will slow as the population average age increases. When you remove all the adults, it speeds things up quite a bit. I have 3 tanks full of endlers and whenever there is a club auction I bring some adults along. As soon as the tank's adult population goes way down, I end up with twice as many adults in the next month.

You could, but you'd only be able to have a few. I'd be hesitant to go over 5-8 in the tank and I'd sell or move them asap.
