I have a 20 gallon long with a pair (male and female) Kribs. How many pairs can I put in there? Do i need to stagger them, like more females to males?
Unfortunately, yes. A large tank gives the other tankmates plenty of room to escape but a 20g will not give them a chance.i also have a pair of red honey gourmies in there. Will they get attacked when the kribs spawn?
Kribs can be kept singly but I find them to do better when kept in pairs or groups. A pair with discus is fine but not during spawning season.I've been kinda mulling this over ever since I saw these fish in person... are kribensis able to be kept as a solitary fish? If I got a single male for my 55g tank, would it be overly skittish? (I know individual temperament comes into play, but I'm just asking in general if they do better with pairs) If a pair is better, would it be safe to have a pair in my 55 with 5 discus? (check my sig for tank stocking... going to sell 2 of my discus, perhaps in the next couple weeks)
