How much do you feed your fish?

If your water isn't murky then you aren't way overfeeding :P but you could cut down on the feedings without any loss. Except for baby fish, they need there veggies to grow big and strong.

So basically.. Am i way over feeding?

Didn't want to say it quite like that, but... Yeah, I think so. :)

I used to feed WAY too much 2-3 times a day, before I read up on here. My water qualty and fish are much better since I've changed my habits.

If your water quality is good and you are good about tank maintenance you are probably fine. I feed less, it works for me.

I don't think so I feed my fish three times a day, but I also do daily water changes and my discus fry at the moment are being fed 6 times a day with 2x WC so it depends on what type of maintenance you are doing if your water is ok and the fish are eating everything no problems. Also are they young growing fish or fully grown adults that only require maintaining, their is no firm rule.

Cheers

i feed the fish in my 55 2 or 3 times a day, i have no algae and water is mint, but i only feed them small amounts, about what it takes them 30 seconds or so to eat, but i am trying to grow my fish as most of them are still juvies

but I also do daily water changes

Isn't that stressful to you AND the fish? Is there any reasoning behind why you change your water daily?

Discus require pristine water conditions, especially when they are very young.

Daily WC is something you 'sign on for' if you want to raise young discus.

I agree. Daily water changes with young Discus is the 'norm.'

I feed my community tank 1x day. Some flakes for the tetra and danio, part of an algae wafer and 1 or 2 shrimp pellets for the cory, crab and shrimp. I usually have to break the wafer up a bit so one of the crabs won't hog the whole thing after running off with it. As a weekly treat tubifex worms.
