HR 669 : CONGRESSIONAL HEARING BANNING NONNATIVE SPECIES APRIL 23, 2009 ACTION NEEDED

In scenario's like this, i would image a petition is only going to count as one person...one petition, one submission....To make your time more worth while, just wright yourself a letter "from you" to your local polititian

i think the fish that should be banned are the ones humans: paint, tattoo, dye,or serve with lemon slices and butter :)

but the ones with lemon and butter are so delicious. i just cant eat them at home. i feel guilty about all the little eyes peering at me :(

It's a high class protected fish, in other words endangered.

Would be a great answer if there weren't farm raised, micro-chipped stock available. By relegating this fish to black market status despite the availability of legal stock, they actually encourage wild poaching because there is no incentive to follow the proper pathways if the fish will be deemed illegal regardless.

This may not effect your personally but I have friend's who would loose their lively hoods if this went through. Right now the MA and PA stores are having a rough enough time, so should we just put the final nail in the coffin?

I'm sorry but I care more about the animals. I can't help it if that's the way that I feel.

And about what you said, I agree. There's too many factors to this thing. Fish were saved and others were over harvested and lost. So I haven't signed anything because I'm undecided. I'll just watch and see where it goes.

Ok folks, here is something that just was posted on another forum. This site isnt up and running yet but it has some big names attached to it from the pet industry.
The site that goes live tomorrow is http://www.nohr669.com and is a colaborative effort of Pijac, Adam Wysocki, Pete Kahl, Brian Barcyzk and others.

There will be avatars and signature banners to put on your profile for all the forums you visit. They will be going to fish, bird, rodent forms, etc. http://www.nohr669.com will not be focusing just on the ban of reptiles, but all animals in jeopardy.
