A cool new LFS has 2 huge oscars for sale. They are 3 years old and housed with a couple other large fish. The LFS is selling them to make room for more easily cared for stock I guess, but the price is right $80.00 takes the pair (proven breeders). Will these two 7 inch or so Oscars do well in a 40 or 55 gallon? its return season and I might just have to splurge to get these beauties.. Plus with a little work they could generate a little bit of cash to pay for their food and care. I think they would probably work in a 55, just want some opinions. They can't be in anything much larger than that now, perhaps even a 40? and they seem fine. Watched the guy feed them and it was amazing, they didnt even seem to mind a bit of affection. I would probably do a fishless cycle before buying, so this would be a good oppurtunity to learn a bit more about that. Any input is greatly appreciated!
