Here's a shot of Star Valley--I was out there last week for work. It snowed the night before. I was kicking myself for not bringing my own camera--the color of the trees and shrubs in the Snake River canyon between Jackson and Alpine were amazing--looked like everything was on fire!

For years I've been thinking I would like to move there (many jobs have shown up in my field in the state.)

Biologist ... plants specifically. There are many jobs for biologists there, mostly working with wetlands, which I would love to do!

becky, there is plenty of swamp land throughout Florida so I'm not surprised there's plenty of work in your field. Hope you can find a job in the state. Don't let the weather scare you off. It's really not as bad as this season is making it look.

With the roof still damaged, as roofers are all 'booked up', I know we are not ready for another blast of wind and rain. Just hope there are no tornados...

And, why do these storms hit here only on weekends ????!!

I guess we are ready. We didn't get to much damage from the others. Just a few trees down and only lost power for about 10 hrs, but with this one I think it is going to be a lot worse. It's being projected to go right over us as a Cat 1.

My wife works for Publix and I just talked to her. She said that they are slammed full of people shopping. I heard from work earlier and they told me not to even to come into work till Wednesday.

You know, I had plans this weekend to take the boat out, but Jeanne is on her whole schedule. I'm starting to think that this weather is my fault. If I never boat that boat then we would be in a drought.
