So I bought a Koralia #1 for my 28 gal. I already had a maxi jet. I have to say that I like the Koralia so much better, it's just the coolest pump I've ever seen. I do however, have a doubt that it's truly 400gph? Maybe it's just because it seems like the flow disperses over a wide area compared to the MJ?

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

One, I do agree that although the flow is very strong when your fingers are right up against the head it does seem weaker as you move them away because of yes the dispersed flow. A much better path of flow plus you aren't having a 1200 jet shooting at fragile coral tissue. Secondly, I've read (Subliminal or ClownLover maybe?) that they regretted the #1s and recommended the #2s. They also have a nano sized one now that I've heard good things about.

I love the nano. I got one of those the other day to roll the chaeto in my fuge.

Thanks, I think it is working ok, especially for my little tank. But now that I'm finally starting to get my first little tank set up well I find myself wanting a bigger and better tank ;)

twasn't me Grins.. I've had my #3's from the beginning.. I also question the gph but with the changing my MJ over to the modded I now think that it might be closer than I originally thought.. I am also personally changing my philosphy about how many heads in my tank and will probably be downsizing to the #2's and placing more of them to achieve a more chaotic flow structure..

I'm hoping that Hydor finally comes out with a controller to work with these other wise I'm going to end up going with the Seio..

i love hydor koralias these things are awesome. I am going to go back to get another one pretty soon for the other side of the tank

I have a #1 in my 30 gallon and I too questioned the gph. It is a nice pump; I like how you can change it's direction so easily. Had I seen it in action before I purchased it I might have gone for the #2.

I did the same as Vorix...got the nano to roll the macroalgae in my fuge. Not sure what else I would use it for. I have 2-4's and 1-3 in my main tank and love them all!

I wouldn't mind a couple nano's to put on the back of my tank. They are pretty close in price range to the 1200's. I need more power outlets!
