i need to find some nitrate somewhere. there is a hydroponics store that i know of. would their ferts be ok for my tank?
 
have you used it yet? is it pure kno3 without anything else in it?
the word remover makes me nervous. in the cleaning industry removers are some of the most powerfull products available
 
Yeah, I've used it a couple times, the only thing listed is KNO3 (you know my husband is a chemist so he keeps me from doing anyrthing really dumb) But in old, or not so old fert, threads there's the DIY ferys using this, nu-salt, epsom salts etc.

I think I told you 1 big box sells another stump remover with something nasty in it. I thought your well water had a ton of nitrates? Now you're doing pressure CO2, not enough?
 
i've been using a new process cleaning some very expensive oriental rugs that uses tons of water. i think that i've used so much water that the nitrates that have penetrated my well have diminished. i went from well over 40ppm in my well to under 10ppm.
and on top of that, having my co2 system is just ripping the nitrates out of my tank.
 
i'm sure i could find some info somewhere on the www that tells you what to dose but i trust you guys. any dosing info?
