Does anyone know what the going price for a zebra pleco is in the US?

Does anyone know what the going price for a zebra pleco is in the US?

In canada i found a breeder. He was asking 800 Canadian for a pair (male/female). I ofcourse decided to walk away.

A year ago you could get them for around 100-150 Canadian each, but now they are extremely difficult to get and go for atleast 200-300 Canadian each in most stores when availible.

The last one I saw $160 Canadain and it was very small. It was so small that the LFS owner didn't even try to sell it but put it in his display tank, where it hid for a few months until it died.

Just need to figure out a way to safely transport it cross country and I am sure one can find its way out there...

I looked about 3-6 months ago and all of the sites I found online were selling them for around $100. Beautiful fish, but I was a bit leary about spending $7-8 a piece on my clown loaches
