I am about ready to give up

If you do give up you can send me the gup in your avitar

well thanks guys for all the insight and help.im going to keep at it and try a little bit longer.THANKS
Just my opinion, but you might want to consider puchasing from an LFS vs. Petco, Petsmart, and Wal-Mart. The fish purchased from a dealer specializing in aquarium fish are almost always healthier and hardier.

I agree with the person who suggested putting a couple of feeders into your tank. You're almost there don't give up now. Guppies aren't the easiest fish to keep. By the time they get to the store they've been through hell and back and if your water isn't right you'll notice their tails beginning to shred, most fish coming from farms have parasites and they're just stressed to the max when they get to the store. The deaths in your tank are not all your fault. I bought 4 platies over the holidays which are supposed to be a tough fish and I'm down to 1. Half the battle is getting healthy fish to begin with. It's sad but when you bring home new fish it's usually survival of the fittest because of the way they're bred and handled before they reach your tank. I've been doing this for awhile and fish die and you try and learn from it and move on. I seem to learn everything the hard way with this hobby. Eventually you'll take things in stride and realize that there's no such thing as the perfect tank and there's always going to be something new to learn. Hang in there. We've all been where you are now.

i am so tired of my fish dying.i have done everything i can for them and they keep dying true my tank is cycling and there will be stress but i have done everything water changes, water chemistry, plants, decorations everything to make them comfortable.i first started by buying a 5G hex eclipse for a betta and two dwarf frogs from walmart well they all died. Then i thought i would put my old 10G to use so i went out to petsmart and bought two albino corys and a lyre tail molly first the molly died then slowly my two corys have died within the last couple days.so i decided i would try again this time going to petco and buying a couple guppys (male and a female)ya well the lady there didn't tell me its 3F to 1M so the female was dead the next morning.i have bought plant bulbs and they have all rotted (more of my money down the drain:wall:)
i had also bought some killifish eggs when i first started from Thailand well needless to say they haven't hatched yet.i swear it's just one thing after another.well i feel like i have said enough (feel a little better:)).Thanks for hearing me out.

P.S. if you think im doing anything wrong please let me know me like i said though i'm doing everything by the books

FF: You really believe that your "adventures in fish keeping" can compare with mine? and I am hanging in there and having "good luck"

As per previous posts

1) What tanks are you keeping your fish in?

2) What is their size?

3) What fish do currently have in them?

4) What filtration systems do you have in them?

best advice I can give you is, take it very slow. . .

Take your time. It's a hobby that will hopefully stick with you for the rest of your life. Take every step seriously, start off with one fish at a time, and see how it goes.

Start simple, and work your way from there. . . .
