I just came across this thread this morning and read the entire thing with growing interest just to find out there was no "finale"!!
I logged back on this evening and still... nada!
It's like a bad cliff hanger!!

Did he arrive ok? Is he as beautiful as is pictures?

THEY SENT HIM ON THE WRONG FREAKIN' DAY!!!!

I was waiting on pins and needles all my days off in anticipation. Had THREE packages come in... none of them were him. Just my order of snail cookies, an order of extra java fern and hygro for my betta tank, and some stationary I ordered. No betta.
So I get online to find that Linda from easternbetta transhipping has left me an email saying he'll arrive on Friday at 3pm. I'm all WTF?!?!?!? I work on Friday... 8am to 630pm!! Send him to arrive Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thusday only... I told her this at least 3 or 4 times!!!! This is so frustrating. There are a dozen words I'd used to describe how I feel and NONE of them are appropriate for this forum!!!
*takes a deeeeeeep breath* .... But I'll take off on a late lunch, pick him up, and have him at work with me. Hopefully, my little punk rawkin' betta boy will be more than worth it. I'm not going to let yet ANOTHER setback spoil that day for me.
So there you go. We have just one more day of anticipation before Damien will be here. And so's you know, his ETA is 3pm and I'll see about getting photos of him that same night if I can and I'll have my friend email them to me at work so I can post them. I know you guys are as anxious as I am to see my Damien.

I'm going to pick him up on my lunch break and he's gonna sit on my desk here at work until I can take him home tonight. I'm soooo excited!! I don't know how I'm going to survive until 12:30!!! ^__^;;

im so excited you need to take a camera and take some pictures and send them while you are at work lol WOOT!!!!!!!!!!
I have him!! He's so small to have such beautiful fins!! I can't wait to share pictures of him. 
I just about barfed when I got to the mail office. The guy took a look at the box, yanked it up, flipped it into the air, and stumbled a little bit in catching it. I thought I'd turn blue and fall over!! ^__^;;
He's only 3.5 months old and he's soooooo precious!! But his water is all icky and yellow, so I can't see his colors too well. He does look like a stressed version of the fish in the photos, though. We'll see when I get him home and into my nice 5 gallon planted tank!!
