I didn't like the idea of using anything like a diffuser on a DIY 2L bottle. Just for the reason that if the diffuser clogged enough. The back pressure could blow the 2L bottle up.

But, with that said. You could probably put the CO2 line below the AC. And it would push the bubbles back down.

Yup.

I'd get an extra 2 of the bio bags too. 1 extra for each filter. So you'd have the foam, then 2 of these, in each filter.

At filter cleaning time.
Put some tank water in a bucket/pitcher/something. And swish the bio-bags around in it.
With two in each, you'll have plenty of bio-area.
So you can blast the foam with tap water.

I've read about people using paintball canisters. But I don't remember the outcome of the ideas.

Maybe you'll be able to do that, if its feasible?
