I Can't Get Rid Of This Stuff

Chemi-Clean does work. I've used it before and can vouch for it.

how many times did it take to get rid of it? my powerheads are aquaclear 50's. any bigger would blow my sand around. i know this stuff won't harm my inhabitants, its just making my tank really ugly right now. what could be my problem? i reduced feedings to twice a week, heck i make those guys eat off the back wall most of the time. i just done a water change and i had cyano on the filter sponge on my skimmer, the filter intake and the intake on one of my powerheads. i had less problems when i didn't do changes so often. i change 10 gals every week now. i asked my LFS and he acted like it was my problem and didn't even answer, what gives?

Ok what you need to do is just go and get chemi-clean and use it. Then clean all your filters and leave the skimmer OFF.

I haven't tried this chemi clean yet, but I'm beginning to figure out what is causing my cyano. It has to be my lighting. I left my lights off for some time and when I turned them back on the cyano was really pale. But just what do I need to do here? I don't want to leave them off all the time. I turned them on this morning and the cyano has brightened up in just 3 hrs. I like an idiot asked my LFS and he says its a "PHASE" my tanks going through?????? Why after 3 years does this "Phase" just start? I have no phosphates in water so what else. I feed only twice a week. I have been looking for this chemi clean on the net but apparently everyone else is also, its out of stock in most places. This is very agravating. I know this isn't hurting anything it just looks awful........

I tried leaving the lights off a day and the next day I turned them back on and it was gone. Within a few hours it came back. I used chemiclean like in early April and I have no signs of cyno in the tank.

it seems theres a big call for this stuff the place on the web where I buy my supplies is out of stock. I need another alternative right now.

Ok, I have finally added this chemiclean to rid myself of this S*#T in my tank. Others tell me to add another fish to add to my bioload, I cant say. I do know I didn't have this stuff when I had more fish.

Check to make sure your skimmer is working like it should. Check the pump on your skimmer. I had to get a new Mag3 on my AquaC Remora. My old one seemed to be running, but because it was over 4 years old it wasn't and I didn't realize it.
I started getting cyno and was doing everything you're doing now. It was ongoing for about 4 weeks. One day the pump quit completely. I bought a new pump and the cyno was gone the next day.

this pumps only about 6 mos old and its working, just cleaned it out the other day. I get a lot out of my skimmer since I added a mag 3 pump. This is what I don't understand, my skimmer seems to be working and I have water movement in all four corners. I only feed 2 times a week, usually frozen foods. Someone told me I needed to add a fish to add to the bioload. I am becoming more and more confused what to do at this point though.

this chemiclean has been in my tank 2 days now and my cyano is still there. How many times did you have to repeat Cartman?
