i don't think everything you bought is actually an aquatic plant

there's a lot of plants out the that are fine for a little while submerged but will eventually rot.
www.plantgeek.net is an awesome site for plant info

The anacharis is the only plant I see that's actually aquatic. Not the others.

The "krinkle" isn't an aquatic plant. It'll last a few weeks, then fall apart. The anacharis (aka elodea) will grow like a weed, however. I'm surprised shops in Hawaii would be selling non-aquatic plants.

Its some random Hemigraphis plant, also called purple waffle, red krinkle etc. Freshwater plants, just like fish, need to be thoroughly researched before purchased. There are a couple threads on here listing commonly sold nonaquatic plants. Mondo (Kyoto) grass, varigated Dracaena, Borneo fern/Peacock fern/Aquafern, Japanese Rush, bamboo, and pothos ring a bell off the bat.

What is your lighting? Anarchis is usually left floating, though some people keep it in the substrate.
