I don't think the issue is what the sign is, but rather that there is a sign. My sister lives in a housing subdivision near Colorado Springs, and the by-laws of subdivisions are VERY extensive. You are limited to the number of horses to one per person per household and no composting (their horse manure goes out with the trash every week), garages and sheds must match the color and trim of the house, all vehicles must fit in garages, and pink flamingo lawn ornaments and all Christmas decorations that move are specifically prohibited. I think they also limit the number and colors of Christmas lights.. there are pages and pages of rules (all very specific) that I don't exactly remember.

The poor lady probably has a wreath that is 2" bigger than the allowed size or something dumb like that.

I could never live there. I would eventually TRY to annoy the neighbors. :joke:

you have got to be kidding.............. what happend to being able to do what you want on your own property, thank god it aint like that here....imagine if every house looked the same....what a nightmare if you were drunk, trying to find your house after a big night out.....you would have to knock on every door till you found it....hahahaaaa!!!!

I agree, but the agreement you sign when you purchase that kind of property says otherwise. That paper is legally binding.

Cross of Nero - Or Peace sign. Another sign that mocks the cross of Jesus. Also know as "The Dead Man Rune". It appears on the tombstones of some of Hitler's SS troops.

I took the above off of a website while searchign Google. I did a speech on Satanic worship back in college and remembered something about the peace symbol. And, no I do not agree with those idiots in Denver. I think they are just grasping at straws when bringing up the peace symbol as a satanic symbol.

All symbols are borrowed from other things, and all have more than one meaning.

These housing covenants I've always thought were horrible. There's bunches of them around here. If you drive through them all the houses look the same, there's virtually NO diversity at all. ack! One here actually states the color and types of cars you can own, how long company can stay for a visit, what type of dog you can own, no gardening allowed, no swing sets or play structures... oh the list goes on... Why on Earth someone would buy a home with those kind of restrictions is beyond me!!

Hey I just posted the site so that people would realize that there is some truth to what they were saying about the peace symbol. I did not say that I agreed with any of it. I didn't even read any of the other info on the site - just the info about the peace symbol.
