I know fish bowls are frowned upon but...

Cherry shrimp need a well cycled tank (bowl) just to let you know. They are pretty sensitive.

ok, I am completly new to inverts :') but I have been looking them up on the net all morning. I know the basics eg. max size, sexing, tempreture.
any easy starter shrimp?

Rcs definatley, or ghost shrimp? But they are just more sensitive to ammonia, nitrite, nitrate etc so they tank has to be established and well maintained

definetly would try RCS (I am guessing red cherry shrimp?)
and we are getting the gallons soon, but the guess is 1.5 or 2.5, because measurments are showing most on websites. I would be willing to put time and lots of effort into this tank :) I can just picture the wee guys in it with the gravel and such, but I know it will be a bumpy road
thank you for the help!

RCS = Red Claw Shrimp

good Luck!

oh sorry ^^; thank you fishfriend!

EDIT: getting a pic in a minute

thats what I thought, but I am a total newbie to the inverts xD

looks like RCS ia what this bowl-like-biOrb fish bowl will be :D

i think a nice snail tank would be really cool to have if volume was limited. a few small live plants wouldn't hurt also. The sponge filter you list might be too big. Try the Azoo palm filter that Drs Foster and smith have.

I am not to keen on snails :P I don't find them very exciting lol. but always an option!

I'll check that out ;) any on ebay currently?
