Ich - Salt and Cory cats

Lite salt could be something different like KCl instead of NaCl, the effects of which I would have no idea about. I'd just stick with regular table salt.

Yes the cories should do fine with the salt treatment, and yes at this point you're pretty much stuck treating the entire tank.

Thanks, I figured treating the whole tank now would be the only option. Kicking myself about this, but hopefully its not going to be too bad, and at least its something that is easy to treat.

Mortons lite salt is a mixture of salt and potassium salt, I don't think it would be of particular danger in a fish tank but as far as it's ability to treat ich, who knows.

On an unrelated note if you can't taste a bitter taste when eating potassium salt you are a non-taster (means you have less than average tastebuds per inch on your tongue not that you can't taste)

Good luck, I hope there's no casualties.

I only use it for cooking, and rarely even for that so not sure about the bitter taste. Just picked up a container of regular mortons salt though, so will continue the treatment when I get home.

i used 1 tsp/gallon with cories with no problems at all.
