Well done Roan, Bostockia porosa also known as the Nightfish.
You picked a very hard one, Cherrypie! Even ANGFA doesn't have a picture in its gallery.

FWIW the clue that gave me the idea was the Australian Bass one.

Good work :D knew with systematic, careful thought someone would follow the crumbs I was throwing straight to the answer.

Now it's your turn to make us AquariaCentral people work!

Okay, here's my fish:

Remember, I suck at this so someone will probably get it right away :)

Roan

I've added a copy of the pic as an attachment since we are doing work off and on with the server this week.

Looks like a good choice to me, the family shouldn't be hard to figure out, but beyond that there's many look-a-likes.

I'll keep my hands off the keyboard on this one and let some others do a little detective work.

:)

It's and Red X Fish, endemic to Cantseepicture zone. :joke:

Ok, I know I said I'd let this one be, but nobody else has tried lately, so I'm going to have a go.

By the looks of it, the family should be Cyprinidae.

I'll go for Leptobarbus hoevenii / Redfin Cigar Shark
