Looks kinda like a young male Kenyi...but I'm not sure?

Hi, friends!
It was sold to me as a rusty (I. sprengerae). As a matter of fact, I think he is the most dominant fish in my whole tank and the fishes he chases with the most enthusiasm are precisely the other rusties. He or she is a 2 1/2 inches long juvenile. What do you think now about all this?

take the link i sent you and compare this with your top photo pay attention to the head area in my own opinion i believe this to be P. saulosi..

OK pittbull, they look very similar; but looking their anal fins, the fish in my tank has it whitish with eggspots and the P. saulosi female has it completely yellow. What's your opinion?

I agree with Pittbull that it is a Saulosi....but I think it is a juvenile male that hasn't colored up yet, which would explain the aggression. That's what my young males look like, and they will hold that color up to 2 inches. Here is a site that shows the maturation process for males...

yeah i see those egg spots hmm, i have seen females with like one egg spot and a few without them more over the males will sport the egg spots with the saulosi so i guess i could be wrong just really looks like a saulosi but if this a juvie it may be a male that is late blooming to become a male also the saulosi only reach 3 1/2 inches so if it gets bigger than this most def not a saulosi, coolness..
