They're here, and even more beautiful than I expected. These fish are much more shy than my previous copper pair, but as they settle in they are exploring a little.
The male split his tail in three places during shipping, but they are small tears and I don't anticipate problems. A little salt and they should heal up nicely. Sitara, the previous halfmoon copper female, is all in a huff about her new tankmate, but the veiltails don't seem to mind her at all.
Anyway--
These are terrible images. They're so shy from transport, and the wall behind the tank is bright green, making it hell to color-correct, but I'll be posting better photos soon.
Tentatively named Brishen (Gypsy; 'born during a rainstorm'):
And his sister, Aleta (Gypsy, 'wanderer'). I think she's every bit as pretty.
Don't mind the messy water - goldfish do churn up things so much.
