I'M DONE!!!!!!

i have never had a nail reproduce, I keep trying, but it never happen...I wonder if its me?..snails must not like me! ..

If your tank is ok for fish I'd say turn it into a DP tank. There amusing, friendly, fun fish that'll love your snails. That may just be me but I'd highly recommend it just make sure your tank is cycled. You'll love em.

roflmao! ..oops! i ment Snails...

why kill snails? they're cool!

i have about 40 in my 27 gallon.

Snail probs are usually the result of overfeeding. I personally have them in all my tanks.

Dont worry about a population explosion as your tank can only feed a certain number of snails at one time. In the beginning you may have too many but soon they will all die off as food resources become scarce.

So my suggestion watch how much you feed and leave little for the snails.

I like snails, too. Unfortunately my keyholes also like them. I have a few small ramshorn survivors but they are getting fewer and fewer. I try to rescue one every now and then by tossing it in another tank. I enjoy watching the little guys.

My small ramshorn snail Gary appeared spontaneously in a 2.5 gallon tank, and lived almost two years. At some point he moved to a 20 gallon and used to rocket from one side of the tank to the other. I couldn't believe how fast he could travel the length of the tank. As far as I know, he never reproduced. Then one day, he died, and suddenly there were more of them. I still like watching them but I've never gotten attached to one like I did Gary.

I got attached to my snail too. I named him Ludwig(after the drums)....Do you need to buy bigger shells for them?
