I dont mean to take over thread, but its not worth a new thread. Watching the females holding for the first time is a amazing experience. Its neat for the kids to see to.
I just put my red zebra, which is holding, in a 20g tank half full of water i just set up a few hours ago. I was going to let the fry take their chances in 55g the female came from. I already have a 29g with fry from her ( 2 sets of fry ago) which are almost but not ready to be sold or traded in yet . The last time she had fry though i put the female in 29g tank and the older fry at the time (i sold already) ate the new fry. They were not that much bigger. This is kind of inconvient to me because i'm in a small townhome so setting up a 3rd tank again is not what i wanted to do. Inless my yellow labs spawn i will let my future fry take their chances in the other 2 tanks.
I just thought i would reply.
Good luck with ur fry.
