iPhone 4S : who is getting it?

Too much of a hassle to surf or post from a phone. I will stick with what I have.

Now if it came with a personal bartender I might be tempted.

Have had both, a droid (Incredible) and now my iphone (4), ever drop your droids? I have, my daughter has, they shatter/break often. I've dropped my iphone a few times, it's still perfect. As far as I'm concerned, nothing surpasses an apple product. Not sure what will happen with Apple products now that Steve Jobs has died. I'm sure a new iphone is in my future, my kids have droids, someone will drop one, I'll get the new iphone, they'll get my old one :evil_lol:

I really don't get why people are so impressed by the iPhone series. 1-2 years behind the technology of other phones. Less capable. Less customization.
And yet it is more expensive and tends to be on the more expensive networks.

I don't get it either, I sure wish I had come up with the idea though. Release a new phone every year with 1 or 2 new features that have been available on other phones for years, watch the sheep line up to trade in their "old" iPhone (most likely paying early termination fees etc) and pay hundreds for a new phone, tie them into a new contract with an expensive voice/data plan and watch the profits pile up. Repeat on a yearly basis.

RIP to Steve Jobs though, while I am not an Apple fan, I do appreciate what he did for technology.

as a developer, the constant upgrades are also a pain for those of us who develop apps which constantly have to be changed and jump through hoops to work on multiple iOS devices. Luckily I didn't have to do too much to get my aquarium app compatible with the new 4S and the older phones (shameless plug: my aquarium app is called AquaPilot just search it on the app store or go to aquapilotapp.com to learn more ) but it can be very frustrating :) overall I like the the 4S, but I won't be upgrading, not worth the money to me personally, but I like the siri feature!
