Well, it really depends.
I often think it's silly to spend extra on a mated pair of clowns, since it seems if you get them young enough (read: unsexed), they'll just end up pairing up anyway...not like they're picky or anything...and there seems to be a serious price hike for buying a 'pair'.
Also, many pairs are just that...2 clowns. Not like the breeders took extra special time to put them together, they just know what I wrote.
However, I paid $20 for one of my clowns, $40 for the other (he was so pretty I got suckered in) and $25 for my bubble tip. Add that all together, and it's definitely more money than the deal you've managed.
So, yeah, I'd say it's a good deal, too!
