Is this too much driftwood?

Ummm, yeah to much you should send it all to me:perv:

LOL, kidding NO WAY....it looks great!

Great looking Q! I am not in love the piece on the left that hides the strainer; seems a bit out of synch with the shape of the others. It may look totally different when the rest of the rocks and plants are in.

Ya know... it seems like something is just not right and I think you hit on it Bob. Also the fact that it's 4 pieces and not 3 or 5. Odd numbers work better I think and I have to consider the golden ratio of 1.6 to 1 as far as placement of the central piece as well. I like driftwood a lot and love to see it in a tank but I think in this case there is just a little too much. I'm gonna go back to the drawing board and see what I can come up with.

Nice wood Q! looks fine.

Once it's obscured by numerous plants, it won't seem like nearly as much.

It looks a little too symemtrical at the moment, but that can be fixed with some minor shifting or careful plant placement.

Some very nice pieces!

I took out the far left piece and shifted the middle piece over to the left. I think this arrangement is a bit better than the first one and with plants will work out better. Ideas?

I would move the center piece maybe even 2-3" more left, make the right end a bit higher, and angle the right hand piece toward the middle of the tank, I think. Hard to sell what it'll look like once there's plants in it though.
