IT has BEGUN!!!

OHH and, I almost completely forgot. I need to make a custom filter box for each powerhead, since they dont sell one for it, and it's an oddball shape, so making one work from another powerhead will be difficult. So off to the store for acrylic.

I'm only gluing the ones that are loose. The base layer of slate is pretty stable, it's the upper layer that things get a little tricky. So i'll be able to re-arrage pretty well.

Aren't you clever ;)

Updates :)

I just finished making the canisters for the power heads. Made them out of pvc for around 10 dollars. I used 4" peices of pvc with various fittings to make a bottom strainer, and internal area for bio media, carbon, etc.

I'll be filling with water tonight.

Coolness you sound like me making stuff just today my wife called me Mcguyver the dude who can make a weapon out of a few pocket items hehehe.. i made a new fountain fall / filter for my 500gal out of an old rain barrow and a powerhead with lava rock also i like to make guns out of different things as well.. i make a mean potato gun..

Alright so after close observation, i have to modify a few of my jets they are letting to much water flow, so there is unequal pressure. I'll see what I can do about that tonight, and I will be working on setting up my quiet one 2200 as a filter as well. I figure with that filtering 500gph, the two jets filtering at 200gph, and the HOT filtering at 135gph, I should have enough filtration.
