IT has BEGUN!!!

melanochromis cyaneorhabdos will be the next group. I"m thinking about not going with the demansi since at 20 a piece and the rarity of find them local is a pain. I'm still not a huge fan of shipping fish. So i might just add two more of each species and make the tank just the labs, the acei and the melanochromis cyaneorhabdos.

One thing i am finding is that the UGJ aren't pushing the ammout of water I would like them too. I'm going to look into getting another pump or two attached to see what they can do.

I like that 3 species combo of labs, aceis and mainganos (M. cyaneorhabdos).

yes it does! It would make the tank much less chaotic. With just 3 species i would increase the labs and acei to 6 each, and keep 6 mainganos (M. cyaneorhabdos). I should have more than enough territory for all three species, and I would only keep one male per group (1m to 4fm) I"ll have to see what I can do!

Ok so I have been noticing some fighting in the group. THere is one lab that is defending its' rock from two others. I also have been noticing that they like to chase each others tails alot too? I have to get these things sexed hahah!

Anyway I was reading and wondering if I could put snails in with these guys? no specific reason why, just would like some additional clean up/creatures in the tank.

Yeah that's a hit n miss type situation with snails some Africans love em and some just leave em alone i wouldn't go out and buy some really expensive snails for an experiment try to get you some of those bigger mystery snails see how that works out first..

If it goes OK than upgrade to a better snail like nerites..
