IT has BEGUN!!!

yeah. the LFS in victoria sells demasoni for $19 but yet you can get them at daves in victoria or at my lfs for half the price or better. 20 bucks is rediculous.

That is wacked for them to jack the price up like that..

Anyway I was reading and wondering if I could put snails in with these guys? no specific reason why, just would like some additional clean up/creatures in the tank.

Watch the yellow labs more carefully than the others. I have read they are as good as the clown loaches taking out the snails from their shells and then eat them. They may be the main reason of my failure on having a colony of Malayan Trumpet Snails in my tank.

I was watching one of my labs last night and they were attacking one of the snails, but they left the other completely alone. I put two big old pond snails in there, and one got attacked, the other didn't... I don't really want to throw a pleco in there, since he will get attacked. I'll just have to keep an eye on them to see how they are doing.

i think maybe the labs are sadistic.

Lab:"ok snails lets see..... you live, and you die, you can live, but you die, you live....oh wait your that expensive narite snail that the giant hand put in here, you definatly die!"

HAHAHAH that wouldn't surprise me haha! I think the snail got to close to my guys territory lol. but yea i'll just keep dumping in ramshorns and mts.

Thanks everyone!!

Mike

well I decided to crush a snail and throw it in, well, i had all 4 acei playing tug of war with it so it seems they enjoy the crushed snails. now they know what's inside the shells. I woke up this moring, and well, my sole survivor was terminated.

I think i'm naming my male lab terminator. haha

I have named my dominant male lab The Fry Shredder; he is an assassin of anything small that moves.
