IT has BEGUN!!!

It is looking great. Can't wait to see it up and running.

Slowly and surely! I'll get this thing done! First I need to figure out what I'm going for rock work. I really want to use real rock, but the weight is way too much. So i'm lookin towards styrofoam.

Then its filtration...that's going to kill me...lol

IMO you should not worry too much about the rocks' weight. Use an egg crate on the bottom, the rocks directly over it and then fill the bottom with the substrate you choose.

well...I get parinoid with heavy glass breaking objects around the tanks lol. that and I don't have a good source of rocks anymore...atleast until the weather warms up....Might be able to get down the beach if the weather stays the way it is...they have nice colored, smooth rocks.

I'll have to take a trip down when my sis gets home...so I can use her truck to bring home some catches :)

Thanks man! its soo much bigger now its on the stand.

I need to get the knobs on the doors still, then i need to clean the tank out, and start working on getting it runnin!

First stop will be filtration haha, I may have to get creative with this one.

I think with a tank that size a sump is feasible or maybe a FX5, now i dont know if the sides are tempered or not if they arent you could drill them but thats another endevor

Thanks!

As for drillin the sides...yea that's not happening, being good friends with murphy, chances are, even if they weren't tempered, it would shatter.

I was thinking a sump myself, but I haven't got to much room to get under the tank (doors are small) The FX5 is awesome.

I'll have to see what I can imagine/design/ponder about...at first I wanted dual magnum 350's....but they might not be enough lol.
