I'm so happy thought I'd tell you guys!!
I've always had an irrational fear of ladders and I've just gone up 4 steps!!

I know its kinda sad but am so chuffed that i have managed to overcome one of my fears!
Went well bar my little panic attack about coming down! :o

Hey, fear of ladders isn't all that irrational, unless of course the fear is that they will come to life when you sleep and try on your clothes and rearrange you furniture and then that's just plain crazy. I don't have a fear of heights per say but I do have a healthy respect for the damaging effects of a sudden stop proceeding a long fall. So, I stay away from ladders when I can and when I have to climb them I make sure they are ridiculous well grounded. You won't find me doing any fireman slides to get back down either.

Anyway, congrats and keep climbing!

The day my ladder comes to life and tries on my clothes etc is the day i become seriously wealthy!!! :laugh: Thats only if i could teach it to do tricks tho!!

I work as a window cleaner and you would be surprised hwo many people are afraid of heights. I hire them because they say they have no fear. You get them 12 feet off the ground and they start to hyperventilate.

It is definately a fear that you can overcome. I used to be hesitant on anything over 24 feet but now nothing bothers me. You just have to ensure the ladder is secure. Falls only happen to those who set up a ladder improperly or reach further than they should.

Like i said, am so chuffed with myself.
Its not really a height thing as the falling off with a big "ouch" at the end of it thing that bothers me!! That and ladders wibble!!!!!!! And not forgetting they wobble too!!!!!!
