Hello!
that is carnation coral not kenya

This is a very hard coral to keep alive as they feed only on phytoplankon and are not photosynthetic they also like low light and lots of flow and are usually found hanging upside down on overhangs..I made the same mistake and bought a pink one from Figi thinking it was colt coral..lived for a good 6 months since I use NSW :(

Looks great so far!

Thanks. I've been looking at pics side by side and mine doesn't look quite like the carnations. I also spoke to the (very knowledgeable) shop owner and went with "adult" supervision. I guess I'll keep researching and keep a sharp eye on it. I had planned to target feed anyways so at least that wouldn't be a new effort.

So what fish are you planning to put in there?

Yashia Goby, Pistol Shrimp, and probably a Fire & / or a few Sexy shrimps. I think.

Just did a water test, and have added a few frags in the past couple days- 2 ricordea mushrooms and a blue mushroom. The purple ric has already split! :)

ammonia, nitrite, nitrate=0, pH=8.2. All seems well so far. :)
