Ordered Fish...a little impulsively
So, bad, bad news. I went to my LFS yesterday prepared to buy my first store bought fish. I planned to start with a yellow watchman goby and add a clown later. I was all set. I get there. Someone had just taken off with MY goby. I look toward the clown fish....aching to take a fish home...
no fish to be taken safely....their clowns were huge. GRRR. But, the far worse news is that my favorite guy that works there, is leaving. Which leaves the owner. Who makes my heart get all racy with irritation each time I go in.
So, frustrated I decide to go home and spend my money online.
Wellllll - the thing with that is that the shipping charges are out of control right now. 30$ shipping on a 15$ fish! After several hours of "shopping" I find a site with "free" shipping (this turned out to be a flat fee for all items but still cheaper than any other) so I get to shopping. Now, with the flat fee I found myself just putting everything in the shopping cart I might need...after all, I don't want to realize I missed something and then have to pay a separate shipping fee later! Right!? Yeah, Yeah so here are the fishies coming to my home this week:
A osc. tank raised clown
A cherub pygmy angel
A yellow watchman goby
Uh, yup...that would be three. And me doing some series water changes initially to make sure I'm managing a big bioload introduction.
Flog me now.
